Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society, 1999 Linnaeus listed and described (asOstreaspecies) 20 recent pectinid species in the 10th edition of hisSystema Naturaeand one pectinid species in hisMantissa. These are now placed in 17 genera of the family Pectinidae. Nine species are cited to Museum Ludovicae Ulricae.
