Controlled Glutathione‐Releasing Multifunctional Gelatin Methacryloyl/Chitosan/Zeolite Hydrogels for Accelerated Regeneration in Diabetic Wounds

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A, Volume 114, Issue 6, June 2026.
Controlled Glutathione‐Releasing Gelatin Methacryloyl/Chitosan/Zeolite Hydrogels for Antibacterial Activity and Accelerated Regeneration in Diabetic Wounds. ABSTRACT Chronic diabetic wounds remain a major clinical challenge because of persistent inflammation, excessive oxidative stress, impaired angiogenesis, and high susceptibility to infection.

Experimental study of pedestrian-induced vibration of cross-laminated timber floors

open access: yes
Design of long-span and lightweight building floors has increasingly been governed by vibration criteria, and cross-laminated timber (CLT) floors are no exception. Due to their high stiffness to-mass ratio, CLT floors are highly susceptible to pedestrian-induced vibrations.

Advancing Conservative Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis: 3D‐Printed Shoe Soles for Passive Toe‐Out Gait Modification

open access: yesJournal of Foot and Ankle Research, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction To evaluate whether a 3D‐printed shoe sole can passively replicate toe‐out gait biomechanics and reduce the knee adduction moment (KAM) and knee adduction angular impulse (KAAI), addressing limitations of traditional gait retraining.

Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: Molecular Staging, Risk Factors, Therapeutics, and Emerging Trends

open access: yesMed Research, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 309-342, June 2026.
The heterogeneous landscape of DPN can be unified through a tripartite pathogenic model encompassing progressive stages of metabolic dysregulation, chronic inflammation, and overt neuronal damage. Within this framework, six clinical subtypes were identified, namely, hyperglycemia‐driven, dyslipidemia‐driven, inflammation‐driven, dysvascularity‐driven ...

Effect of Capsaicin (8%) Topical System on Sensory Function in Patients With Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: Analysis of the PACE Study

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, Volume 73, Issue 6, Page 1109-1117, June 2026.
This graphical abstract provides a summary of the analysis of the PACE study that evaluated the effect of high‐concentration capsaicin topical system (HCCTS) on sensory function in patients with DPN. From left to right: Progression of untreated DPN; Research question for current analysis; Outcomes used to evaluate sensory function; Intervention; Main ...
