Toward Perception‐Native Electronic Skin: Bio‐Inspired In‐/Near‐Sensor and Neuromorphic Computing for Humanoid Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Dense tactile streams from across the humanoid body converge on collide in a central wiring and data bottleneck. By relocating computation closer to and then into the skin itself, near‐ and in‐sensor architectures, together with neuromorphic computing, chart a path toward perception‐native electronic skin, in which the conversion of stimulus into ...

Investigating Vulnerable Road Users’ Unsafe Interactions with Right-Turn Warning Zones at Urban Intersections: A Combination of Field Observation and Questionnaire Survey

open access: yesSystems
The growing deployment of right-turn warning zones (RTWZs) at urban intersections in China aims to enhance the operational safety of urban traffic systems, yet encroachment upon these zones by pedestrians and non-motorized vehicle (NMV) users remains a ...

Moisture‐Adaptive Triboelectric Materials and Platforms: Design Strategies, Performance Enhancement, and Applications in Energy Harvesting and Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review summarizes moisture‐adaptive strategies that enable triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) to operate across diverse moisture conditions. It examines moisture‐management methods, including exclusion, directional transport, removal, and utilization, with charge‐regulation approaches based on interfacial, dielectric, and structural engineering.

Learning Highly Dynamic Skills Transition for Quadruped Jumping Through Constrained Space

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A quadruped robot masters dynamic jumps through constrained spaces with animal‐inspired moves and intelligent vision control. This hierarchical learning approach combines imitation of biological agility with real‐time trajectory planning. Although legged animals are capable of performing explosive motions while traversing confined spaces, replicating ...
