Artificial Intelligence to Determine Correct Midsagittal Plane in Dynamic Transperineal Ultrasound

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
We have created a model that allows determining the correct midsagittal plane captured by transperineal dynamic ultrasound, with a level of agreement with the expert examiner similar to or higher than that of a junior or senior examiner. ABSTRACT Purpose To create and validate a machine learning(ML) model that allows for identifying the correct capture

Is It an Intrapericardial Mass or a Localized Pericardial Effusion? A Case Report of Tuberculous Pericarditis Evaluated by Multimodal Imaging

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
Tuberculous pericarditis is a common type of pericarditis, but it is difficult to be diagnosed. The application of combined transesophageal echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, and CT multimodal imaging provides sufficient clinical diagnosis basis and guidance for distinguishing encapsulated pericardial effusion or mass.

Outcomes of POCUS‐Guided Peripheral Intravenous Access in Difficult Venous Access Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
POCUS‐guided peripheral intravenous (PIV) access significantly improves success rates in patients with difficult venous access. This technique leads to higher first‐attempt success, fewer attempts, shorter procedure times, and reduced complications compared to standard methods, making it a safer and more efficient option for challenging cases ...
