Tuberculosis of the Vertebral Pedicles
Radiology, 1971A form of skeletal tuberculosis in children and adults, arising from a focus or foci in the vertebral pedic1es, is described. This form of Pott's disease may be unilateral or bilateral and may be isolated or present at multiple levels. Disk space changes and deformity are minor features, but large paravertebral abscesses are invariable.

Sacral pedicle agenesis is a very rare anomaly, and only one case has been reported previously in the radiological literature, besides two cases found in a study of osteological anatomy collection. This paper reports a 34-year-old woman with agenesis of the right pedicle of the first sacral vertebra. There was an anomalous facet between L5 and S1.
