PINK1 deficiency permits the development of Lewy body dementia with coexisting Aβ pathology
Abstract INTRODUCTION Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), a prevalent neurodegenerative dementia, involves α‐synuclein (α‐syn) aggregates and frequent amyloid beta (Aβ) co‐pathology, but mechanistic drivers remain unclear. METHODS We crossed pink1 knockout with APP/PS1 mice, and assessed behavioral and pathological phenotypes of the resulting animals.

Molecular mechanism of ATP‐binding cassette transporter‐mediated insecticide resistance
Advances in functional genomics (RNAi and CRISPR/Cas9) and artificial intelligence‐driven structure prediction (e.g., AlphaFold) are elucidating how ATP‐binding cassette transporters mediate insecticide resistance to both synthetic chemicals and Bacillus thuringiensis toxins.

Jasminum bioactives improve food preservation by providing antimicrobial and antioxidant effects, especially when incorporated into active packaging, edible films, and nanoformulations that enhance stability and controlled release. They also offer many pharmacological benefits, including anti‐inflammatory, neuroprotective, and wound‐healing properties.

The Neopsylla hongyangensis is an important medical insect that transmits plague. We sequenced the mitogenome of N. hongyangensis and constructed a phylogenetic tree for the order Siphonaptera. In addition, we explored the mitogenomic evolution of the orders Siphonaptera and Phthiraptera, which both belong to the class Insects, on warm‐blooded animals ...

Texas leaf cutter ant (Atta texana) populations have expanded northward and their obligate symbiotic fungus has increased cold tolerance. The ants have exquisitely temperature sensitive antennae; here, we find the antennae express a subset of six transient receptor potential (TRP) channels, including HsTRPA.
