Test of the Rosetta Pedotransfer Function for Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity
Simulation models are tools that can be used to explore, for example, effects of cultural practices on soil erosion and irrigation on crop yield.

A PEDOTRANSFER FUNCTION FOR ESTIMATING THE SOIL ERODIBILITY FACTOR IN SICILY
The soil erodibility factor, K, of the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) is a simple descriptor of the soil susceptibility to rill and interrill erosion. The original procedure for determining K needs a knowledge of soil particle size distribution (PSD)

An Improved Pedotransfer Function for Soil Hydrological Properties in New Zealand
This paper describes a new pedotransfer function (PTF) for the soil water content of New Zealand soils at seven specific tensions (0, −5, −10, −20, −40, −100, −1500 kPa) using explanatory variables derived from the S-map soil mapping system.

Pedotransfer Function for the Brunswick Soil Hydraulic Property Model and Comparison to the van Genuchten‐Mualem Model [PDF]
Modeling soil hydraulic properties requires an effective representation of capillary and noncapillary storage and conductivity. This is made possible by using physically comprehensive yet flexible soil hydraulic property models.

A pH‐Based Pedotransfer Function for Scaling Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity Reduction: Improved Estimation of Hydraulic Dynamics in HYDRUS [PDF]
Core Ideas Soil‐specific pedotransfer functions can be incorporated into the HYDRUS model. Electrolyte concentration reduces the adverse effect of pH and Na on soil structural stability.

Comparison of Cation Exchange Capacity Estimated from Vis–NIR Spectral Reflectance Data and a Pedotransfer Function [PDF]
Conventional methods for measuring CEC are time consuming and costly. A Vis–NIRS model and pedotransfer function (PTF) were developed for CEC determination. The Vis–NIRS model estimated CEC accurately for different soil types.

Estimation of soil gas permeability for assessing radon risk using Rosetta pedotransfer function based on soil texture and water content. [PDF]
Radon is a natural source of radioactivity and it can be found in all soils and rocks in the Earth. The presence of radon gas in indoor environments implies a serious risk for human health, already listed as carcinogenic by the World Health Organization.

Predicting the Campbell Soil Water Retention Function: Comparing Visible–Near‐Infrared Spectroscopy with Classical Pedotransfer Function [PDF]
The Campbell model was anchored at a soil water content of −1000 cm H2O matric potential. The two model parameters were predicted using either soil fines or vis–NIR spectroscopy. Both methods accurately predicted the soil water retention curve.
