ATF4, ZIK1, and PNMA3 Transcriptomic Signatures Predict Chemoradiotherapy Response in Cervical Cancer

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Cervical cancer (CC) is a main malignancy affecting women globally, with a high mortality rate. Chemoradiotherapy resistance is a significant factor in determining treatment outcomes, and prognostic biomarkers are essential for the appropriate selection of therapeutic strategies.

Impacts of land use change on diaspore‐dispersing ant assemblages in southwestern Amazonia

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, Volume 19, Issue 4, Page 908-917, July 2026.
Land use changes shift ant assemblages, more intensive land uses are dominated by generalist and open habitat specialist species engaging in group foraging. The diaspore removal rates cannot differ, but the quality of dispersal was lower in disturbed habitats.

Anxiolytic and Memory Protective Effects of Withanolide D Isolated From Acnistus arborescens in Adult Zebrafish

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 5, May 2026.
Withanolide D Exhibits Anxiolytic and Memory‐Protective Effects. ABSTRACT This study evaluated the anxiolytic and memory‐protective effects of withanolide D in adult zebrafish (Danio rerio). The compound was administered at doses of 4, 20, and 40 mg/kg and showed no signs of toxicity after 96 h of observation at any of the doses tested.

A Comprehensive Molecular Modeling Study of Phenyltriazolinone Derivatives as Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase (PPO) Inhibitors

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 5, May 2026.
An integrated computational strategy (QSAR, docking, molecular dynamics, and PBSA) identified novel phenyltriazolinone‐based PPO inhibitors with enhanced predicted activity. Compound P7 emerged as the most promising candidate, while P4 and P5 also outperformed sulfentrazone.
