Polyetheretherketone as a Biomaterial for Spinal Applications [PDF]
Threaded lumbar interbody spinal fusion devices (TIBFD) made from titanium have been reported to be 90% effective for single-level lumbar interbody fusion, although radiographic determination of fusion has been intensely debated in the literature.

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Exchange reactions of poly(arylene ether ketone) dithioketals with aliphatic diols: formation and deprotection of poly(arylene ether ketal)s [PDF]
The dithioketal derivatives of industrially important, semi-crystalline poly(arylene ether ketone)s undergo facile exchange with aliphatic diols in the presence of N-bromo-succinimide to give a range of novel poly(arylene ether ketal)s.

For the first time, a highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor based on SiO2‐based hairy particles with a grafted PDMAEMA polymer brush containing a quantifiable and large amount of immobilized Laccase is reported. The fabricated biosensor exhibits a sensitivity of 0.14 A·m⁻¹, a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.1 µm, and a detection range of 0.3–750 µm,
