TravellingFL: Communication Efficient Peer-to-Peer Federated Learning
<p>Machine learning and artificial intelligence are two key emerging technologies in computer science that require vast amounts of data for a meaningful application. The requirement of such a large dataset is usually met by pooling data from various sources, which is often difficult to implement in practice due to strict data privacy constraints.

Peer-to-Peer Trading for Energy-Saving Based on Reinforcement Learning
This paper proposes a new peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading method between energy sellers and consumers in a community based on multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL).

The E-Learning Grid: Peer-To-Peer Approach [PDF]
In this paper we present some of the approaches taken by the European E-Learning Grid consortium in building learning Grids. Some of the initial research has been done within the EC GENIUS project, which is a partnership between industry and academia. In this particular paper we focus on how in combining the collaborative and peer-to-peer approach with

Predicting Default Risk on Peer-to-Peer Lending Imbalanced Datasets
In the past few years, Peer-to-Peer lending (P2P lending) has grown rapidly in the world. The main idea of P2P lending is disintermediation and removing the intermediaries like banks.

ABSTRACT Background Pediatric bone sarcoma patients and survivors may experience psychosocial challenges related to childhood cancer after their intensive, body‐altering treatment. This cross‐sectional study aimed to evaluate generic and survivor‐specific psychosocial outcomes in a national cohort of pediatric bone sarcoma patients and survivors, and ...

An Overview of Autonomous Connection Establishment Methods in Peer-to-Peer Deep Learning
The exchange of model parameters between peers is critical in peer-to-peer deep learning. Historically, connections between agents were assigned randomly based on network topology.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
