Short‐term impacts of selective logging on forest elephants
Conservation Science and Practice, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2025.This study assesses the impact of selective logging on forest elephants (Loxodonta cyclotis) in Gabon. Using camera traps and dung surveys, we found no negative effects on their presence, abundance, or activity. The results suggest that responsibly managed timber concessions can support forest elephant conservation.
