Noradrenergic and cholinergic innervation of the normal human heart and changes associated with cardiomyopathy. [PDF]
Abstract Autonomic nerves are crucial in cardiac function and pathology. However, data on the distribution of cholinergic and noradrenergic nerves in normal and pathologic human hearts is lacking. Nonfailing donor hearts were pressure‐perfusion fixed, imaged, and dissected. Left ventricular cardiomyopathy samples were also obtained.

Summary: We present the essential theoretical basis and prove concrete practical formulas to compute the image of a point on the terrestrial sphere under Peirce quincunicial projection. We also develop a numerical method to implement such formulas in a digital computer and illustrate this method with examples.

Windows of opportunity in subseasonal weather regime forecasting: A statistical–dynamical approach
This study explores how the atmospheric state at initialisation creates windows of opportunity for improving week 3 forecasts of weather regime activity. Greenland blocking activity increases following Madden–Julian Oscillation phases 7, 8, and 1 and weak stratospheric polar vortex states, revealing patterns exploitable by statistical models.
