Advanced Science, EarlyView.Morphological anisotropy directs the in vivo transport under physiological flow and clearance of silica nanocarriers. Increasing anisotropy reduces cellular uptake, suppresses hepatic and splenic sequestration, and prolongs systemic circulation by steering particles toward the central flow core.

Environmental constraints and pelagic fisheries in upwelling areas: the Peruvian puzzle [PDF]
South African Journal of Marine Science, 1998 Pelagic fish catch statistics are used as surrogates to evaluate the potential fish productivity in upwelling ecosystems. A comparison between 10 upwelling areas of the world shows that the Peruvian ecosystem is threeto ten-fold more productive than the others.
