[The pelotherapy of patients with periodontitis].

90 patients with periodontitis have received peloid therapy. Mineral mud from Lake Goreloye deposits was applied by means of a specially developed device providing good contact of the mud with the gingiva and teeth. A good clinical response was achieved.

[An intensive regimen of pelotherapy in pulmonology].

The authors show that intensification of peloid therapy, i.e. more frequent procedures, in patients with pulmonary diseases imposes additional load on the regulatory systems: vegetative, cardiovascular, immune. Moderate balneological reactions become more frequent, therapeutic results worsen. How to correct the above negative effects is proposed.

[Pelotherapy of patients with diabetic poloyneuropathy: a clinical-immunological study].

Clinical presentations, stage of disease, therapeutic efficacy and parameters of humoral and cell immunity were studied in 91 patients with diabetic poloyneuropathy (DP) receiving pelotherapy. It was shown that changes both in cellular and humoral links were increased depending on DP stage.

[Pelotherapy in combined aftertreatment of patients with chronic bronchitis].

A therapeutic complex based on pelotherapy given as mud applications or electrophoresis of squeezed mud on the area of lung root projection (a total of 10-12 procedures, each other day) was tested in 99 patients with chronic bronchitis (CB). 68 CB controls received the above complex but no peloids.
