Spondylolisthesis, Pelvic Incidence, and Spinopelvic Balance
Spine, 2004A retrospective study of the sagittal alignment in developmental spondylolisthesis. To investigate the role of pelvic anatomy and its effect on the global balance of the trunk in developmental spondylolisthesis.Pelvic incidence (PI) is a fundamental anatomic parameter that is specific and constant for each individual, and independent of the three ...

Deferred sequelae incident to pelvic irradiation
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1964Abstract In the follow-up of irradiation therapy late sequelae should be anticipated, and the differential diagnosis of persistent alimentary complaints must include a gamut of conditions ranging from recurrence to factitial pathology. Appropriate diagnostic procedures, including surgical exploration are indicated in any instance where there is ...

Predictive Value of Pelvic Incidence in Progression of Spondylolisthesis
Spine, 2003Retrospective analysis of pelvic incidence and other radiographic parameters as a predictor of progression of isthmic spondylolisthesis. To evaluate the predictive value of various radiographic parameters, including pelvic incidence, in determining the risk for progression of lumbosacral isthmic spondylolisthesis.

Analysis of the Incidence of Pelvic Trauma in Fatal Automobile Accidents
The American Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology, 2002Pelvic fractures are frequent complications of motor vehicle accidents, and motor vehicle accidents are the most common cause of pelvic fracture. Although pelvic fractures are associated with considerable morbidity and mortality, there has traditionally been no attempt to grade or classify pelvic fractures during postmortem examination.

Increasing the Incidence of Routine Pelvic Examinations
Women & Health, 1994Routine gynecological care is important for the maintenance of good health and integral to early detection and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases and cancer. Research indicates that both patients and clinicians find this examination anxiety provoking and, therefore, may fail to comply with optimal guidelines for routine care.

Pelvic incidence (PI), pelvic tilt (PT) and sacral slope (SS) are important parameters in sagittal spine alignment evaluation. The measurements are a projection of the three-dimensional pelvis onto a two-dimensional radiograph and they may be influenced by orientation of the pelvis.

Computerized analysis of pelvic incidence from 3D images
SPIE Proceedings, 2012The sagittal alignment of the pelvis can be evaluated by the angle of pelvic incidence (PI), which is constant for an arbitrary subject position and orientation and can be therefore compared among subjects in standing, sitting or supine position. In this study, PI was measured from three-dimensional (3D) computed tomography (CT) images of normal ...

The incidence and significance of acute post-hysterectomy pelvic collections
Clinical Radiology, 1995In a prospective study, 32 consecutive patients underwent endovaginal pelvic scanning in the first post-operative week following hysterectomy. Twenty-four attended for a further scan at clinical follow up. Vaginal vault fluid collections were identified in 19 women (59%) on the first post-operative scan.
