Hypervision Proton Surgery: The Future Direction of Proton Therapy
ABSTRACT Proton beams provide unique physical advantages characterized by a low entrance dose, negligible exit dose, and a sharp Bragg peak, which enable superior sparing of normal tissues and support safe dose escalation for improved tumor control. However, conventional photon‐based fractionation remains widely used in proton therapy, where prolonged ...

Multiple vasodilator pathways from the pelvic plexus to the penis of the rat [PDF]
The main penile or cavernous nerve is usually regarded as the most important vasodilator projection in the rat. Although other descending pathways have been described, there is little detailed information on their importance. In this present report, we provide topographic and quantitative information on lateral and ventral penile branches and examine ...

Hip external rotation can cause compression of the quadratus femoris (QF) between the ischial tuberosity and lesser trochanter of the femur, resulting in pain in the buttock, hip, and groin which can radiate down the leg. Ultrasound imaging can demonstrate dynamic impingement of the QF, including symptom provocation.

ABSTRACT Background Proton density fat fraction (PDFF) is typically measured using confounder‐corrected, multi‐echo, gradient‐recalled‐echo chemical‐shift‐encoded (CSE)‐MRI. Ferumoxytol, an iron‐based MRI contrast agent, increases liver and bone marrow (BM) R2*, a major confounder of PDFF.

Pelvic Exenteration for Cervical Cancer: Oncological, Morbidity and Quality of Life Outcomes
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives One third of patients who undergo definitive chemoradiotherapy for locally advanced cervical cancer develop disease recurrence. Salvage surgery in the form of pelvic exenteration (PE) may offer improved survival and possibly cure in carefully selected patients, however robust data is scarce.
