Heterostructured interfaces can accelerate hydrogen evolution by improving water dissociation, yet their underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study combines in situ Raman spectroscopy and density functional theory to reveal how the RuO2/TiO2 interface promotes both water dissociation and hydrogen adsorption, providing new insights into the ...

Potential Analysis of On‐Site Oxygen and Ozone Production for Wastewater Treatment Plants
The potential of a power‐to‐gas process focusing on the oxygen stream to cover an upcoming demand of ozone at German wastewater treatment plants is analyzed. Economic and ecological parameters are compared to the conventional production of hydrogen and oxygen. Powered by on‐site produced wind energy, the process is deemed beneficial.

Energy Flexibilization and Demand Response for a Novel Decentralized Power‐to‐Methanol Process
This study presents the results of an optimization framework for the scheduling of a Power‐to‐methanol process coupled with an electrolyser, renewable energy sources and a battery. The optimal dynamic operating schedule is computed with different configurations and boundary conditions, showing the advantages of flexible operation.

This work applies multi‐objective optimization to investigate trade‐offs between different objectives in syngas production with solid‐oxide cell co‐electrolysis. Two system designs are investigated. By systematically exploring tradeoffs between different objectives, insights, and comparisons of the operation of these designs are achieved.

Hidden Markov graphical models with state‐dependent generalized hyperbolic distributions
Abstract In this article, we develop a novel hidden Markov graphical model to investigate time‐varying interconnectedness between different financial markets. To identify conditional correlation structures under varying market conditions and accommodate shape features embedded in financial time series, we rely upon the generalized hyperbolic family of ...

Protocol for Reconstituting Adaptor‐Mediated Activation of Full‐Length Kinesin‐1
ABSTRACT Kinesin‐1 is a member of the kinesin superfamily that plays an essential role in intracellular cargo transport. In the absence of cargo, Kinesin‐1 exhibits low motor activity due to autoinhibition. Multiple studies have demonstrated that adaptor proteins, which link cargos to Kinesin‐1, can activate Kinesin‐1 by releasing the autoinhibition ...
