Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

An Adversarial Attack via Penalty Method
Deep learning systems have achieved significant success across various machine learning tasks. However, they are highly vulnerable to attacks. For example, adversarial examples can fool deep learning systems easily by perturbing inputs with small ...

Automatic Penalty Parameter Selection for the Distributed Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers [PDF]
Distribuerte optimaliseringsalgoritmer har blitt populære, delvis på grunn av den økende utbredelsen av innvevde systemer som kan kommunisere. En slik algoritme er Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers.

Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Poisson Mixed-Effects Count Regression Model Based on Double SCAD Penalty and Its Simulation Study
This paper focuses on variable selection and parameter estimation for mixed-effects Poisson count regression models. To simultaneously select important variables in both fixed effects and random effects, we propose a double-penalized Poisson count ...

Single‐Chromophore Homojunction Organic Solar Cells: A Path to Simplicity and Efficiency
This perspective discusses how the intrinsic optoelectronic properties of organic semiconductors, their molecular packing in the solid‐state, and internal energetic gradients within a device can enable free‐charge carrier generation in homojunction organic solar cells.

We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

The shifted penalty method [PDF]
The method presented here is a variation of the classical penalty one, suited to reduce penetration of the con- tacting surfaces. The slight but crucial modification concerns the introduction of a shift parameter that moves the min- imum point of the ...

Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.
