Novel Genetic Risk Factor Identified for L‐Asparaginase‐Induced Pancreatitis in Pediatric Patients With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background L‐asparaginase is a critical component in treatment protocols for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Acute pancreatitis reactions can necessitate delays and, in some cases, discontinuation of L‐asparaginase, which compromises outcomes.

Evidence for a Bulk Complex Order-Parameter in Y0.9Ca0.1Ba2Cu3O7-delta Thin Films

open access: yes, 2004
We have measured the penetration depth of overdoped Y0.9Ca0.1Ba2Cu3O7-delta (Ca-YBCO) thin films using two different methods. The change of the penetration depth as a function of temperature has been measured using the parallel plate resonator (PPR ...

Influence of Weld Parameters on the Fatigue Life of Deck-Rib Welding Details in Orthotropic Steel Decks Based on the Improved Stress Integration Approach

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Fatigue cracks in orthotropic steel decks (OSDs) have been a serious problem of steel bridges for a long time. The structural stress approach is an important approach for fatigue life evaluation of welded structures.

Outcomes and Surgical Management of Malignant Rhabdoid Tumor of the Kidney: A Report From the Pediatric Surgical Oncology Research Collaborative

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Malignant rhabdoid tumor of the kidney (MRTK) is a rare, aggressive tumor seen in young children. The optimal timing of resection for locally advanced tumors is not well‐defined. The purpose of this study is to evaluate modern oncologic outcomes and the impact of surgical timing. Methods A multicenter retrospective review was performed

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

An Investigation into the Parameters Affecting Vehicle Migration During the Redistribution of Aqueous Coatings [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The purpose of this study was to determine what effect shear has upon the vehicle migration in aqueous coatings. The roll inclined-plane apparatus was utilized to generate various ranges of shear rate.

The Penetration Rate Effect of Connected and Automated Vehicles in Mixed Traffic Routing [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2019
We study the problem of routing Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) in the presence of mixed traffic (coexistence of regular vehicles and CAVs). In this setting, we assume that all CAVs belong to the same fleet, and can be routed using a centralized ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
