Analysis of Penetration Resistance of Concrete

Journal of Engineering Mechanics, 1998
A combined numerical and analytical study of penetration of concrete by high-velocity (∼1.8 \Ikm/s\N) projectiles has been conducted in order to study the effects of concrete’s constitutive modeling on penetration calculations. The results of the analysis are compared with the available experimental data.

Spatial Variability of Penetration Resistance on Pseudogley

ACS - Agriculturae conspectus scientificus, 2014
Usually large numbers of measurements are required to describe spatial variability of soil resistance but GIS technology with interpolations methods make it possible to estimate data from unsampled locations. In this paper cone index (CI) measurements were made in two occasions in 2.88 ha field in central Croatia to present soil condition.

Penetration Resistance Value along Compaction Curves

Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, 1994
Complete compaction curves of miscellaneous natural soils and sand‐clay mixtures were determined. The simple compression resistances or the penetration resistances were simultaneously determined. On compaction curves a particular water content appeared, the compaction sensitivity threshold (CST), linked to the clay content, the compactive force value ...

Probabilistic Evaluation of Penetration Resistances

Journal of the Geotechnical Engineering Division, 1979
In the installation of an offshore gravity platform, proper anchoring of a skirt system into the seabed is important. The penetration of the skirt system is generally achieved by built-in ballasting system. Because of (1)inherent spatial randomness in soil resistance; (2)uncertainty in the exact location of the installed platform; (3)insufficient cone ...
