Comprehensive and representative conservation planning for biodiversity of ice‐free Antarctica
Conservation Biology, EarlyView.Abstract Antarctica is designated as a natural reserve devoted to peace and science, with Antarctic Specially Protected Areas (ASPAs) serving as the primary instrument for area‐based biodiversity protection. However, the existing ASPA network lacks the comprehensiveness and representativeness required under Annex V, Article 3(2), of the Madrid Protocol.

The pectoralis muscle orientation as an indicator of the modes of wing‐propelled locomotion in birds
Journal of Anatomy, EarlyView.The pectoralis orientation of birds was consistent with the orientation of the aerodynamic force acting on the wing, varying by wing‐propelled locomotion (WPL) mode. The skeletal morphology unique to each WPL mode, related to the origin/insertion of the pectoralis, may be associated with these functional demands of pectoralis orientation.
