ber Aminoacylasen von Penicillium chrysogenum

Monatshefte fr Chemie, 1966

Formation and regeneration of Penicillium chrysogenum protoplasts

Archives of Microbiology, 1974
1. High yields of protoplasts from Penicillium chrysogenum Wisc. 49,2105 were obtained by using a combined enzyme system containing either Cellulase from Oxoporus plus an extract of Helix pomatia gut juice, or cellulase plus an enzyme preparation from the culture filtrate of Streptomyces graminofaciens ATCC 12,705.

Uptake of phenoxyacetic acid by Penicillium chrysogenum

Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 1995
The uptake of phenoxyacetic acid by two different strains of Penicillium chrysogenum was studied. Phenoxyacetic acid (POA) was taken up by P. chrysogenum in a defined medium. Plots of initial velocity of POA uptake versus external substrate concentration, in the range 2-5000 microM, gave linear plots.

Transformation of Penicillium chrysogenum to sulfonamide resistance

Gene, 1989
Penicillium chrysogenum has been transformed to sulfonamide resistance by vectors containing the dihydropteroate synthetase gene from plasmid R388 controlled by the promoter and terminator sequences of the P. chrysogenum trpC gene. Transformation frequencies of four to ten transformants per microgram of vector DNA were obtained.

Apyrase, pyrophosphatase and metaphosphatase of Penicillium chrysogenum

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1952
Abstract 1. 1. Fractionation of extracts of mycelial mat of Penicillium chrysogenum yielded an enzyme preparation, about a 100-fold purified, which brought about rapid dephosphorylation of ATP, PP, and MP. At no stage of fractionation was there a sharp break or differential concentration of the enzymic activities.
