A NEW APPROACH TO THE TREATMENT OF PENILE CURVATURE

The Journal of Urology, 1998
Techniques for penile straightening generate the serious dilemma of which is most appropriate. We created and describe our penile disassembly technique to avoid penile shortening in curvature repair. From November 1995 to March 1997 we performed our penile disassembly technique in 87 patients 12 months to 47 years old (mean age 4.5 years).

A multicenter evaluation of penile curvature correction in men with Peyronie's disease undergoing inflatable penile prosthesis placement.

Journal of Sexual Medicine
BACKGROUND Inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) insertion is recommended for the treatment of patients with Peyronie's disease (PD) and significant erectile dysfunction (ED); adjunctive procedures can be used for residual curvature after IPP placement ...

Congenital penile curvature without hypospadias

Urology, 1980
Congenital curvature of the penile shaft without hypospadias is a rare problem that poses cosmetic and functional disability. It is caused by disparate growth of the penile corpora. Surgical repair of 7 cases is reviewed, with follow-up of two to eight years. The results of these 7 cases are added to 13 other cases reported previously.

Creation of a Novel Classification System (PTNM) for Peyronie’s Disease and Penile Curvature Using Evidence-Based Criteria

Journal of Urology
Purpose: Our goal was to identify new Peyronie’s disease (PD) subtypes, non-PD penile curvature classifications, and define active (acute) vs stable (chronic) phases of disease using evidence-based analyses.

Partial mobilisation of the neurovascular bundle for ventral penile curvature correction: A proof-of-concept study

Journal of Clinical Urology, 2021
Background: To lift the neurovascular bundle (NVB) is a critical step during dorsal plications for ventral penile curvature correction. Indeed, this procedure may hesitate in nerves and vascular damage.

Reconstructive surgery for recurrent penile curvature

Pediatric Surgery International, 2017
There are surprisingly few reports about reconstructive surgery for severe recurrent/persistent penile curvature (redo-PC). We present our experience. We reviewed 9 redo-PC cases we treated between 1998 and 2016.Cases 1-3 and 5 were identified from 111 consecutive hypospadias patients we treated between 1998 and 2016 (4/111; 3.6%).

Androstanolone Treatment for Congenital Penile Curvature

European Urology, 2001
To test the etiological hypotheses of congenital penile curvature (CPC) and to infer the possible therapeutic approaches.Seventy patients affected by CPC were enlisted for the present study: 37 with left curvature, 21 with ventral curvature, 11 with left ventral-lateral curvature, and 1 with right curvature.

Management of penile curvature in children

Current Opinion in Urology, 2008
Ventral penile curvature occurs in both hypospadias and so-called 'chordee without hypospadias', and so its correction is a topic of relevance to pediatric urologists.Dorsal plication and ventral corporal incision with grafting are the two most commonly used methods to straighten ventral penile curvature.

New operation for “krummerik” (Penile curvature)

Urology, 1985
A corrective operation for penile curvature using plication of the tunica albuginea on the opposite side of the angulation is described. The operation is fast, easy to perform, and complications are rare.
