Treatment of Congenital Penile Curvature with Penile Torsion: A New Twist
Journal of Urology, 1992Congenital penile curvature secondary to asymmetry of corpora cavernosal length is an uncommon cause of penile deformity. Although the deformity generally is not severe enough to preclude sexual intercourse it can be a source of great concern to the patient and may cause him to avoid all sexual contact.

Severe Penile Curvature After Implantation of an Inflatable Penile Prosthesis
Journal of Urology, 1988We describe 6 cases of penile curvature following implantation of inflatable penile prostheses. Exploration revealed severe scarring of the corpora cavernosa, which produced the curvature in 4 patients. In all 4 cases this area was incised and the defect was filled with a polytetrafluoroethylene vascular graft.

Early Assessment of Penile Curvatures in Infants
Journal of Urology, 1991A noninvasive office procedure was developed for evaluation of penile curvatures in infants, in whom photography of this erectile deformity at home is difficult. By applying negative pressure with 2, 60 ml. syringes, penile engorgement and rigidity that mimic a natural erection could be achieved in 16 infants.

Penile Septoplasty for Congenital Ventral Penile Curvature: Results in 51 Patients
Journal of Urology, 2009The technique most widely used to correct congenital ventral penile curvature is still corporoplasty as originally described by Nesbit. We present results in patients treated with a variation of Nesbit corporoplasty used specifically for congenital ventral penile curvature. From June 2000 to June 2007 we treated 51 patients with congenital ventral ...

Three distinct pathologic types of chordee with hypospadias were described by Horton and Devine (1973). In the first type the spongiosum is absent in the distal penis, an abnormal fibrous layer prevents the penis from being straight and the urethra is often paper thin.

ULTRASTRUCTURE OF THE TUNICA ALBUGINEA IN CONGENITAL PENILE CURVATURE
Journal of Urology, 2001We investigated the ultrastructure of the tunica albuginea in individuals with congenital penile curvature to explain the pathology of this disease.Included in our study were 15 patients 17 to 24 years old with congenital penile curvature. Study material consisted of samples of the tunica albuginea excised from the greater curvature of the corpus ...

A universal mathematical model applied to the congenital ventral penile curvature
Clinical anatomy (New York, N.Y. Print), 2020The macroscopic dynamic of fetal penis development presents a pattern resembling the unfolding of a spiral, so congenital ventral penile curvature could indicate that this natural sequence has been interrupted.

Tunica Albuginea Plication for the Correction of Penile Curvature
Scandinavian Journal of Urology and Nephrology, 2002To evaluate the efficacy of tunica albuginea plication (TAP) in the correction of congenital and acquired penile curvatures and determine key points for a successful outcome of this procedure. From December 1995 to January 2001, 40 patients with penile curvature (10 congenital and 30 secondary to Peyronie's disease) underwent surgical correction by TAP.

Corporeal Plication for the Treatment of Congenital Penile Curvature
Journal of Urology, 2003We evaluated the long-term outcome, effectiveness and patient satisfaction of corporeal plication for the correction of congenital penile curvature.A total of 25 patients with congenital penile curvature were included in the study. Mean age was 39 years (range 15 to 45).
