The Australian Penile Cancer Clinical Registry: a comprehensive national approach to data collection

open access: yesBJU International, Volume 138, Issue S2, Page S42-S50, July 2026.
Background Penile cancer is a rare malignancy, with an Australian incidence of 0.6 in 100 000 men, with a wide range of clinical presentations, from localised, curable tumours to aggressive forms with high morbidity and mortality. Epidemiological data and management guidelines for penile cancer in Australia are limited.

Prognostic impact of anal cancer morphology on survival and local recurrence: A 20‐year regional cohort study

open access: yesColorectal Disease, Volume 28, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Aim The relationship between macroscopic tumour morphology and clinical outcomes has previously been demonstrated for malignant melanoma and gastric cancers, but not for anal squamous cell cancer (ASCC). This study investigated the effect of the morphology of ASCC on oncological outcomes.

Agrimoniin Alleviates Ferroptosis in Cold‐Stored DCD Liver Grafts Through Activation of the Nrf‐2 Pathway

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 7, July 2026.
Supplementing the liver preservation solution with agrimoniin protects donation after cardiac death (DCD) grafts by activating the Nrf‐2 pathway. This reduces ferroptosis, oxidative stress, and inflammation during cold storage, significantly improving graft viability.

Cellular Morphometric Analysis (CellMorph)—a comprehensive imaging‐based tool for quantifying cellular phenotype heterogeneity and dynamics across biological processes

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 14, Page 4185-4205, July 2026.
CellMorph is a groundbreaking tool that allows researchers to analyze multiple features from single cells, including cell size and shape, cytosolic staining and subcellular texture, nuclear staining, and morphometry. By evaluating images from both bright‐field and fluorescence microscopy, it also tracks changes in living cells during key processes such

Immunoinflammatory Profile of FGF‐18, IL‐35 and Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase in Patients With Diabetic Foot Ulcers

open access: yesInternational Wound Journal, Volume 23, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a serious problem that may cause amputation of the lower extremities in patients with diabetes. The present research aimed to assess the localised tissue expression and potential immunoinflammatory crosstalk among fibroblast growth factor‐18 (FGF‐18), glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) and interleukin‐35 (IL‐35) in ...
