Off‐The‐Shelf Multivalent Nanoconjugate Cancer Vaccine Rescues Host Immune Response against Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A star‐shaped cross‐linked polyglutamate (StCl) nanocarrier delivers melanoma‐associated peptide antigens via redox‐responsive linkers, inducing lymph node‐targeted antigen presentation. The nanoconjugate activates dendritic cells, promotes effector T‐cell responses, and enables tumor regression even in humanized patient‐derived preclinical models ...

Multiplexed Bio‐detection on an Interferometric Optical Waveguide Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Multiplexed remote bio‐detection is demonstrated through an image conduit composed of 3012 individual cores and coated with interferometric layers. The proof of concept of biodetection is performed through the kinetic monitoring of two complementary DNA strands hybridization paving the way for applications in multiplex in situ biosensing, and ...

Bee Better: The Role of Honey in Modern Wound Care

open access: yesAdvanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.
The use of honey as a wound care agent is controversial but paradoxically increasingly popular. Honey possesses relevant antimicrobial properties and can modulate the immune system. The wound healing properties of honey likely depend on its composition and varies across wound types.

The Report of Two Cases of Metastasis to the Corpora Covernosa from Transitional Cell Carcinoma of the Bladder

open access: yesپزشکی بالینی ابن سینا, 1999
Tow cases were studied and followed. Both of the cases were diagnosed    as   having    secondary   metastasis  of   penis  ( Primary  cancer  in  urinary    bladder).      Both  cases  were  operated  by  T.U.R  technique.  Both  patients returned

Sebaceous carcinoma of the penis: As aggressive as it is rare

open access: yesUrology Annals, 2019
Malignant neoplasm of the penis is a rare cancer in industrialized countries but is not uncommon in India. Nearly 95% of penile cancer is squamous cell carcinoma. Malignant neoplasms of the sebaceous glands, which are mostly confined to the head and neck

Leiomyosarcoma of the Penis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We report a case of a 78-year-old patient with penile leiomyosarcoma, treated by radical penectomy. Two years after the operation the patient is without evidence of local recurrence or metastatic disease. We also discuss the treatment options and attempt ...

Epithelial Cell Mechanoresponse to Matrix Viscoelasticity and Confinement Within Micropatterned Viscoelastic Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Extracellular matrix (ECM) viscoelasticity and spatial confinement regulate cellular processes such as cancer progression, yet their interplay remains poorly understood. By developing fibronectin (FN)‐micropatterned viscoelastic hydrogels mimicking breast cancer mechanics, this study explores breast epithelial cell mechanoresponse to ECM ...

Delivery of A Chemically Modified Noncoding RNA Domain Improves Dystrophic Myotube Function

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CYTOR is a pro‐myogenic ncRNA in skeletal muscle. Here, chemical probing of CYTOR, coupled with functional cellular assays identifies exon 2 as an independent myogenic RNA domain. Chemical engineering of CYTOR exon 2 RNA improves pharmacologic properties, including RNA stability and cell‐autonomous immunogenicity.

Equine penile squamous cell carcinoma: expression of biomarker proteins and EcPV2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Equine penile squamous cell carcinoma (EpSCC) is a relatively common cutaneous neoplasm with a poor prognosis. In this study, we aimed to determine the protein expression and colocalisation of FRA1, c-Myc, Cyclin D1, and MMP7 in normal (NT), tumour (T ...
