3D Printing a Clinically Available Solution From Plaster‐Based Positives in Superficial Radiation Therapy

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
This study compares two techniques for creating lead shielding masks to replace the current process for superficial/orthovoltage facial radiotherapy: Plaster Cast Positive Mould (PCPM), CT Scanned 3D Print (CT3DP), and Optical Scan 3D Print (OS3DP). CT3DP was found to be more accurate and preferred over OS3DP.

Clinical Applications of 3D Specimen Scanning and Margin Mapping in Musculoskeletal Oncology: A 36 Patient Case Series

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Text‐based pathology reports inadequately communicate complex three‐dimensional (3D) relationships in musculoskeletal oncology, potentially contributing to errors in re‐resection and adjuvant treatment planning. While our prior 7‐case pilot study established technical feasibility, the scalability of this workflow and its utility as ...

KAT8‐Low Osteosarcoma Suppresses Cisplatin Sensitivity via H4K16ac‐Mediated Cell Apoptosis

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
The scientific significance of this study is highlighted below: (1) Data mining and clinical discovery: These findings establish a direct clinical link between the KAT8–H4K16ac axis and chemotherapy response in osteosarcoma. (2) Multi‐omics and machine‐learning integration: We integrated proteomics and CUT&Tag multi‐omics to elucidate how chromatin ...

MicroRNA‐130a‐3p Targets the Androgen‐Related Transcription Factor MAFB: Effects on Proliferation, Migration, Apoptosis, and Cell Cycle in Hypospadias

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
MicroRNA‐130a‐3p targets and inhibits MAFB expression, leading to the development of hypospadimas. MicroRNA‐130a‐3p inhibits the expression of MAFB, disrupts the normal processes of cell proliferation, migration, cell apoptosis, and cycle progression, and ultimately leads to the development of hypospadias.

Exosomal hnRNPA1‐delivered miR‐27a‐3p inhibits the radiation‐induced bystander effect in cervical cancer

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
The study showed that TOMO‐mediated RIBE is activated by decreasing exosomal hnRNPA1 protein level and its capability to packaging miR‐27a‐3p. These new findings infer that hnRNPA1 is a novel inhibitor of RIBE, which potentiates to be a new therapeutic target for improving the efficacy of radiotherapy.
