Nutrient management in pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum)
INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES, 2023As a primary dual-purpose crop, pearl millet serves as both food for humans and animal fodder. Its ability to resist high temperatures surpasses that of all other cereals, making it a crop with exceptional climate resilience. The average yield of pearl millet is low when compared to its potential yields because of insufficient soil fertility, a lack of

Characterization of Pearl Millet (Pennisetum glaucum) waste
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2019Environmental considerations in recent times have led to increasing interest in naturally occurring lignocellulosic materials as they are abundant and biodegradable. Pearl Millet (PM) stalks are currently discarded in North India and add to agrowaste generation.

Transgenic Pearl Millet (Pennisetum glaucum)
2000Pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum), a robust bunch grass cereal, occupies an estimated 40 million ha of the earth’s surface. Although growing in most continents of the world, the largest cultures of pearl millet are found in the arid regions of India and Pakistan.

Calibration and validation of AquaCrop for pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum)
Crop & Pasture Science, 2016Pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R.Br.) is widely grown in some of the driest regions of the world, mainly drier tropics. Although it is easy to cultivate under semi-arid and arid regions, it still responds very favourably to slight improvements in growing conditions such as supplementary irrigation.

Construction of a BAC library of pearl millet, Pennisetum glaucum
Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 2001A bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library was constructed using nuclear DNA from pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum), and used as a resource for the isolation of microsatellite sequences. The library contains a total of 159,100 clones with an average insert size of 90 kb, and corresponds to 5.8 haploid genome equivalents. The BAC library was pooled

CORRELATION AND PATH ANALYSIS IN PEARL MILLET (Pennisetum glaucum)
Madras Agricultural Journal, 1995Genotypic and phenotypic correlations were computed in a collection of twelve diverse male sterile lines, five restorers and the resulting sixty hybrids of pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum(L.) R. Br.). Grain yield per plant showed high positive and significant correlation with plant height, ear length, ear girth and total number of tillers.

Characteristics of local pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum) grains
Nigerian Food Journal, 2006The physico-chemical characteristics of local pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum) grains (\"gero\", \"dauro\", \"gayamba\") for \"fura\" production are reported. The colours of the pericarps of the three cultivars were different. \"Dauro\" had a blue-gray colour; \"gero\" had a brown colour and \"gayamba\" a yellow colour.
