Retrospective Analysis of a Clinical Algorithm for Managing Childhood Myopia Progression
ABSTRACT SIGNIFICANCE As the myopia epidemic unfolds, there is growing urgency to identify and implement effective interventions to slow myopia progression. This investigation evaluated the effectiveness of an evidence‐based myopia treatment algorithm in a clinical setting among 342 consecutive children.

Wavefront aberrations in aging measured with Hartmann-Shack at 3- and 5-mm pupil sizes. [PDF]
SIGNIFICANCE Visual acuity (VA) depends on many factors. When the goal is to assess retinal health rather than performance, then using a 3‐mm pupil reduces unwanted wavefront aberrations. The axis of astigmatism can still potentially change with age.

Prediction of ocular magnification and aniseikonia after cataract surgery
Abstract Background Ocular magnification and aniseikonia after cataract surgery has been widely ignored in modern cataract surgery. The purpose of this study was to analyse ocular magnification and inter‐individual differences in a normal cataract population with a focus on monovision.

Split‐Window OCT biometry in pseudophakic eyes
Abstract Purpose To determine the utility of Split‐Window optical coherence tomography OCT (SW‐OCT) biometry in measuring ocular axial dimensions as well as imaging the intraocular lens (IOL) and posterior capsule in pseudophakic eyes. Methods Sixty‐nine pseudophakic eyes of 69 subjects were enrolled in the study.

Purpose. To evaluate the performance of corneal epithelial thickness mapping (ETM) and demonstrate simultaneous measurement of ETMs and corneal topography using REVO NX (Optopol Technology, Zawiercie, Poland)—an OCT device for anterior and posterior segment imaging. Methods. One hundred thirty‐seven eyes of 137 normal subjects and patients with corneal

Purpose. To investigate the possible effect of an implantable collamer lens (ICL) on ocular biometrics and intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation. Methods. Ocular measurements were taken preoperatively and at the two‐month follow‐up using IOLMaster 700 and Sirius in 85 eyes (43 patients) who had previously undergone ICL surgery.

Relationship between Medium-Term Changes in Intraocular Lens Position and Refraction after Cataract Surgery with Two Different Models of Monofocal Lenses [PDF]
The aim of this prospective descriptive study was to characterize the variations of the clinical effective lens position (ELP) (considering paraxial optics and postoperative data) and the intraocular lens (IOL) position, using “eye” data gathered from a ...
