Immature stages of Murgantia histrionica (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae)

Zootaxa, 2018
Immature stages of Murgantia histrionica (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) are described using light and scanning electron microscopy. Specimens of all life stages of M. histrionica were collected on Peritoma arborea (Cleomaceae) in Palm Springs, California.

Sampling Phytophagous Pentatomidae on Soybean

1980
At least 40 species of stink bugs have been found to occur worldwide on soybean; however, damage has actually been documented for only a few of these. There is at least one important stink bug species in every major soybean producing region of the world.

Biology of Thyanta perditor (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae)

Annals of the Entomological Society of America, 1984
The biology of Thyanta perditor (F.) was studied on Bidens pilosa L., wheat, and soybeans. Females collected in the field from B. pilosa produced significantly larger numbers of eggs and egg masses on B. pilosa than on wheat; on soybeans, only one pair copulated, no eggs were deposited, and longevity of adults was severely reduced.

Overwintering of Piezodorus guildinii (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae) Populations

Neotropical Entomology, 2019
Piezodorus guildinii (Westwood) is a soybean pest that causes significant economic losses in the Americas. The variability of overwintering (diapause) traits was evaluated in populations of the Southwest (SW) (33°55'-34°17'S, 57°13'-57°46'W) during 2-year period (2011-2013) and of the Northwest (NW) (32°01'-33°02'S, 57°50'-57°24'W) during 1-year period

Morphological features of the eggs of Pentatomidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera)

Zootaxa, 2009
Eggs of 14 species within two subfamilies (Edessinae and Pentatominae, tribes Carpocorini, Nezarini, Pentatomini, Procleticini, and one unplaced species) of neotropical pentatomids were studied with scanning electron microscopy, and their external morphology was characterized in detail (chorion surface, operculum, and aero-micropylar processes).

Chromatid autonomy in Banasa (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae)

Chromosoma, 1957
1. Of the ten species ofBanasa investigated, one has the typical chromosome complement of the TribePentatomini (2n=12+2 sex chromosomes); three have an extra pair of autosomes (2n=14+2 sex chromosomes); and six have doubled the number of autosomes (2n=24+2 sex chromosomes). 2.

Color Preference of Harlequin Bug (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae)

Journal of Economic Entomology, 2017
Harlequin bug, Murgantia histrionica (Hahn), is an important pest of Brassica crops in the southern United States. Regional populations are highly variable and unpredictable from farm-to-farm, and therefore accurate monitoring of activity would greatly improve IPM decision-making and the timing of control tactics.

A Study of the Eggs of the Pentatomidae (Hemiptera)1

Annals of the Entomological Society of America, 1946
For a number of years the writer has been interested in the Pentatomidae, more recently from the standpoint of their bionomics. Further investigation has, as usual, served to emphasize how little we really know about this relatively uneconomic group.
