REVISION OF THE GENUS RUNIBIA (HETEROPTERA, PENTATOMIDAE, PENTATOMINI). Runibia Stal, 1861 is redescribed, as well as the species R. dallasi Rider, 1998, R. decorata (Dallas, 1851), R. discoidea (Fabricius, 1787), R. euopta (Walker, 1867) and R. perspicua (Fabricius, 1798). A new species, R. caribeana, is described from Virgin Islands.

Determining Terminal Velocities of Selected Insects and Substitute Materials to Develop Future Test Procedures for Insect‐Friendly Mowing Technology

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, Volume 150, Issue 3, Page 310-320, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Agricultural grasslands are vital habitats for insects that provide key ecosystem services. However, conventional rotary mowers are proposed to cause significant insect mortality due to the high rotational speed of their blades and the resulting airflow.

Endemism and Conservation of Hemiptera on the Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
Endemism patterns of Hemiptera on the Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau (QTP) are mainly driven by historical climate change. Existing protected areas do not sufficiently cover endemism hotspots. ABSTRACT The Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau is essential for the maintenance of global biodiversity.

Detection of Hidden Volumetric Changes Caused by the Southern Green Stink Bug, Nezara viridula, on Soybean Pods Using Micro‐CT Imaging

open access: yesLegume Science, Volume 8, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Soybean (Glycine max L.) is an important arable crop playing a major role in human nutrition and animal feed. Piercing‐sucking pests are compromising the safety of soybean cultivation worldwide, mostly by their enzyme‐containing saliva causing deformation, and tissue death within the pierced plant parts.

Orchard Management Influences Predation of Halyomorpha halys Eggs

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, Volume 174, Issue 3, Page 202-211, March 2026.
We investigated predation of eggs of the invasive stink bug Halyomorpha halys on apple trees in conventional, organic, and extensively managed Dutch orchards. Predation exceeded 40% in extensively managed orchards but was only about 10% in conventional and organic ones. We used camera traps to reveal natural enemies that may contribute to H.

Potential Distribution of Linepithema humile (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) in South Korea: An Ensemble Species Distribution Modeling Approach

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
The Argentine ant (Linepithema humile) was first discovered in Korea in Busan in 2019. Due to a lack of occurrence data, its distribution in Korea remains difficult to predict. This study constructed a single and ensemble model based on BIOMOD2 using occurrence data and environmental variables from South and North America and projected it to Korea. The
