The comparative morphology of epidermal glands in Pentatomoidea (Heteroptera)
Arthropod Structure & Development, 2014The Heteroptera show a diversity of glands associated with the epidermis. They have multiple roles including the production of noxious scents. Here, we examine the cellular arrangement and cytoskeletal components of the scent glands of pentatomoid Heteroptera in three families, Pentatomidae (stink bugs), Tessaratomidae, and Scutelleridae (shield-backed

Symbiotic Microorganisms Associated with Pentatomoidea
2018This chapter presents an overview of the knowledge concerning the diversity of endosymbioses in pentatomomorphan insects, with a special focus on the well-studied symbiotic systems of the southern green stink bug, Nezara viridula and the kudzu bug, Megacopta cribraria.

Morphology and relationships of the Pentatomoidea (Heteroptera)
Australian Journal of Zoology, 1969Evidence from the morphology of the alimentary organs, genitalia, immature stages, and biology is described to support a subfamily status for Oncomerinae in the Tessaratomidae. It has been shown that the Oncomerinae is a homogeneous group and its division into subgroups is unwarranted.

2016
The superfamily Pentatomoidea constitutes one of the most important insect groups of the subfamily Heteroptera containing insects reported as “serious plant pests”. Several researchers have published reports on specific species of Pentatomoidea in Greece. None of them is completed because they cover a few geographic parts of Greece during short periods

Morphology and Relationships of the Pentatomoidea (Heteroptera) 5-Urostylidae
American Midland Naturalist, 1971A study of the morphology of the genitalia and alimen- tary organs of Urostylidae shows that Urostylidae present a combination of features indicating a relationship to several pentatomomorphan taxa, notably Pyrrhocoridae, Tessaratomidae and Aradidae. It appears that Urostylidae and Pyrrhocoridae diverged from a Pentatomoid-Pyr- rhocoroid stock at an ...

Les Pentatomoidea des Antilles françaises (Hemiptera, Heteroptera)
Bulletin de la Société entomologique de France, 2023The Pentatomoidea of the French West Indies (Hemiptera, Heteroptera). The first inventory of Pentatomoidea observed on the islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique is carried out. A total of 48 species are listed in the French West Indies, including 43 in Guadeloupe and 32 in Martinique. In Guadeloupe, 24 species out of 43 are mentioned for the first time,
