On the Systematic Position ofPseudobebaeus goyazensis Distant, 1911 within the Pentatomoidea (Heteroptera, Pentatomoidea)

open access: yesDeutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift, 1996
The monotypic genus Pseudobebaeus Distant, 1911 was included in the Acanthosomatidae by Kumar (1974). Based on a new detailed examination of the lectotype of Pseudobebaeus goyazensis and a cladistic analysis of the Acanthosomatidae (Fischer 1993) it is shown that this species does not belong to the Acanthosomatidae.
