The comparative morphology of adult pregenital abdominal ventrites and trichobothria in Pyrrhocoroidea (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomomorpha)

Zoologischer Anzeiger, 2020
Abstract Pyrrhocoroidea (including Largidae: Larginae, Physopeltinae, and Pyrrhocoridae) constitutes the second-smallest superfamily of the true bug infraorder Pentatomomorpha (Insecta: Hemiptera: Heteroptera). Although this group includes several taxa widely used as models in experimental studies, as well as a number of economically important pests (

A stalk-eyed true bug in mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber (Hemiptera, Pentatomomorpha, Yuripopovinidae)

Cretaceous Research, 2020
Abstract The extinct family Yuripopovinidae Azar et al., 2011 was erected based on a true bug fossil in Lower Cretaceous amber of central Lebanon. Recently, a unique yuripopovinid Reticulatitergum hui Du et al. (2019), with an areolate body and strongly dilated antennal segment IV, was reported from mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber of northern Myanmar ...

Diversity of Telomeric Sequences in True Bugs (Heteroptera): New Data on the Infraorders Pentatomomorpha and Cimicomorpha

Cytogenetic and Genome Research
Introduction: Telomeric sequences are stable parts of the genome and are widely conserved among higher level taxa (e.g., TTAGG in insects and other arthropods) although exceptions are known and their numbers are increasing with research. The true bug suborder Heteroptera (Hemiptera) includes more than 40,000 species in about 100 families, classified ...
