Tangible objects on capacitive multi-touch surfaces are usually only detected while the user is touching them. When the user lets go of such a tangible, the system cannot distinguish whether the user just released the tangible, or picked it up and removed it from the surface.

PERC: A Personal Email Classifier
2006Improving the accuracy of assigning new email messages to small folders can reduce the likelihood of users creating duplicate folders for some topics. In this paper we presented a hybrid classification model, PERC, and use the Enron Email Corpus to investigate the performance of kNN, SVM and PERC in a simulation of a real-time situation.

PERC: A Nursing Syndrome for AIDS
International Journal of Nursing Terminologies and Classifications, 1996Perc is an acronym and represents a proposed nursing syndrome for people with AIDS. It incorporates the NANDA human response patterns of perceiving, exchanging, relating and choosing. These patterns were identified through a review of literature on AIDS, especially that which addressed NANDA nursing diagnoses.

This paper demonstrates PERC --- our system for crowdsourced entity resolution with human errors. Entity Resolution (ER) is a critical step in data cleaning and analytics. Although many machine-based methods existed for ER task, crowdsourcing is becoming increasingly important since humans can provide more insightful information for complex tasks, e.g.,

The PERC+ Cell: a 21%-Efficient Industrial Bifacial PERC Solar Cell
2015Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) solar cells are currently being introduced into mass production. In this paper we report a novel PERC solar cell design which applies a screen-printed rear Al finger grid instead of the conventional full-area aluminum (Al) rear layer while using the same PERC manufacturing sequence.
