Effect of time to palliative epilepsy surgery on outcomes

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Epilepsy duration is a modifiable risk factor in the outcome of definitive epilepsy surgery; however, an analogous effect in palliative procedures has not been shown. We reviewed the Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Database data for an association between epilepsy duration and seizure reduction in palliative procedures.

The Impact of Thermal Treatment on Light-Induced Degradation of Multicrystalline Silicon PERC Solar Cell

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Multicrystalline silicon (mc-Si) PERC (passivated emitter and rear cell) solar cells suffer from severe light-induced degradation (LID), which mainly consists of two mechanisms, namely, BO-LID (boron⁻oxygen complex-related LID) and LeTID (light and

Respiratory profile of pediatric patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation studied by oscillometry – A TRANSPIRE cohort

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, EarlyView.
These are results from a multi‐center collaboration between four large pediatric institutions, investigating baseline respiratory system function in a cohort of children undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This manuscript proposes respiratory oscillometry as a novel way to prospectively follow lung function in these children.

Double side passivation of phenylethyl ammonium iodide for all perovskite tandem solar cell with efficiency of 26.8%

open access: yesEcoEnergy
All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are regarded as the next generation of devices capable of enhancing the solar energy utilization rate. Unlike single‐junction perovskite solar cells (PSCs), the efficacy of tandem cells is contingent upon the performance

New approaches to edge passivation of laser cut PERC solar cells

open access: yesEPJ Photovoltaics
Recently the development trend in the PV industry is towards much larger wafer formats. With increasing wafer area and the resulting increase in short-circuit current at the cell level, there is also a trend towards sub-cells (solar cell cut into smaller

Salmonid Alphavirus Subtype 3 Induces Prolonged Local B Cell Responses in Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) After Intraperitoneal Infection

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2020
B cell responses are a crucial part of the adaptive immune response to viral infection. Infection by salmonid alphavirus subtype 3 (SAV3) causes pancreas disease (PD) in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) and is a serious concern to the aquaculture industry ...
