On‐cell covalent crosslinking of hydrogel matrix to the membrane of a single cell using droplet microfluidics enables mechanotransduction and influences stem cell fate. This newly established approach influences stem cell fate, independent of YAP/TAZ mechanotransduction and non‐covalent reversible binding ligands yet by various intracellular ...

This work establishes a general theory of the current transient of ionic‐electronic transistors under a step of gate voltage. The dominant effect is a transient charging of the channel by diffusion of ions. The additional influence of electrolyte capacitance and resistance splits the fundamental time constant of diffusion into two different components.

Seeing like a Cephalopod: Colour Vision with a Monochrome Event Camera [PDF]
Cephalopods exhibit unique colour discrimination capabilities despite having one type of photoreceptor, relying instead on chromatic aberration induced by their ocular optics and pupil shapes to perceive spectral information. We took inspiration from this biological mechanism to design a spectral imaging system that combines a ball lens with an event ...

Photoswitchable Conductive Metal–Organic Frameworks
A conductive material where the conductivity can be modulated remotely by irradiation with light is presented. It is based on films of conductive metal–organic framework type Cu3(HHTP)2 with embedded photochromic molecules such as azobenzene, diarylethene, spiropyran, and hexaarylbiimidazole in the pores.

This study examines the surface characteristics of AlInP (001), crucial for advanced solar cells and photoelectrochemical devices. Using theoretical modeling and experiments, it identifies how phosphorus‐rich and indium‐rich surfaces create mid‐gap states that pin the Fermi level and influence ultrafast electron dynamics.
