Recall of Thematic and Perceptual Information Following Episodic Specificity Induction and Instructed Eye Closure

open access: yesApplied Cognitive Psychology
ABSTRACTTechniques to improve episodic memory such as eye‐witness events have been the focus of much research in psychology. The present experiment investigates the effect of two techniques, episodic specificity induction (ESI) and eye‐closure (EC) to assess if their conjoined effects are additive or interactive regarding the recall and subjective ...

Intelligent Acousto‐Electrical Metamaterials (IAM) for Sound Source Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Our proposed metamaterial concept enables sound source detection using a single material, in contrast to conventional arrays that require dozens or even hundreds of transducers. We show that the coupled acoustic–vibrational–electrical responses in piezoelectric metamaterials give rise to topology‐governed charge transport, producing distinct voltage ...

Self‐Powered Flexible Triboelectric‐Gated Ion‐Gel Transistor for Neuromorphic Tactile Sensing and Human Activity Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.
