Total syntheses of agelamadin F and (±)‐tauroacidin A were achieved by sodium chlorite (NaClO2)‐mediated oxidative C─N coupling. Nine C15–N–amino acid‐substituted oroidin derivatives were successfully prepared to demonstrate the applicability and versatility of this oxidative coupling reaction.

Dissimilatory Sulfate Reduction Under High Pressure by Desulfovibrio alaskensis G20
Biosouring results from production of H2S by sulfate-reducing microorganisms (SRMs) in oil reservoirs. H2S is toxic, corrosive, and explosive, and as such, represents a significant threat to personnel, production facilities, and transportation pipelines.

Metal‐Ion Regulated Light‐Free Z→E Isomerization of Azobenzene Glycomacrocycle
Metal ion‐catalyzed Z→E isomerization of photoswitchable azobenzene glycomacrocycle: A new azobenzene‐based glycomacrocycle is capable of forming a 1:1 complex with divalent metal ions in both E‐ and Z‐isomers. The complexes undergo light‐free Z→E isomerization in a timescale spanning from seconds to weeks.

Bioremediation of Perchlorate in Groundwater [PDF]
A bacterial isolate, strain perclace, was shown to reduce the ground water contaminant, perchlorate to levels < 0.005 mg L -1 when grown on acetate under anaerobic conditions.

This study presents a symmetric supercapacitor with activated carbon electrodes and a “water‐in‐salt” electrolyte (WiSE) based on lithium perchlorate, offering over 100,000 cycles with over 90 % capacity retention. The supercapacitor operates efficiently from −20 to 80 °C, enhancing performance, stability, and all‐season operability.

Toward Safer and Sustainable Lithium Metal Batteries: Fluorine‐Free Solid Polymer Electrolytes
An analysis to assess the impact of fluorine in polymer electrolyte‐based lithium metal batteries has been conducted. It has been demonstrated that fluorine‐free LiTIM salt delivers a electrochemical performance similar to that of its fluorinated analogue salts, given the complete lithium dissociation in coordination with PEO and the restricted anion ...
