A distinct semi‐confined inner‐tube chemical vapor deposition geometry enables reproducible, large‐area growth of phase‐pure 2D β′‐In2Se3 from InI + Se precursors. Engineering local vapor transport and optimizing precursor delivery and temperature–time conditions yield uniform continuous films.

Composite Ti–6Al–4V–epoxy lattice structures are additively manufactured and epoxy infiltrated for cyclic loading. At low lattice volume fractions, hybridization produces synergistic gains in stiffness and energy dissipation. At higher volume fractions, synergy diminishes, although composites still exceed metallic lattices in specific energy ...

Anisotropy in finite continuum percolation: threshold estimation by Minkowski functionals
We examine the interplay between anisotropy and percolation, i.e. the spontaneous formation of a system spanning cluster in an anisotropic model. We simulate an extension of a benchmark model of continuum percolation, the Boolean model, which is formed ...

Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

Role of weighting and long-range connections on the dynamics of front propagation
Percolation and non-equilibrium front propagation in a two-dimensional network modeling wildfire spread is studied. The model includes two long-range interactions; a deterministic and a probabilistic one induced by firebrand emission.

High performance electrical conductive composites with ultralow percolation threshold
Particle-laiden polymer composites are a broad range of functional materials. Most of the polymer composite properties are strongly dependent on the filler loading level, which typically have an abrupt change near the critical filler loading.

In the last decades, one of the most critical issues concerning the control on the processing, structure and properties of nanocomposites is related to the dispersion of nanofiller in the polymer matrix and internal interactions resulting in percolation.
