Identification of Impact Frequency for Down-the-Hole Drills Using Motor Current Signature Analysis

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
In rotary-percussion drilling, the impact frequency is a crucial variable that is closely linked to operational factors that determine the efficacy of the drilling process, such as the rate of penetration, bit wear, and rock mass characteristics. Typical

Temperature and Frequency of Percussion Instruments

open access: yesInternational Scholastic Journal of Science, 2016
The frequency produced by a wooden xylophone, a metallophone and a drum at temperatures ranging from -18C to 50C was studied. It was found that the frequency of the first two increases, while the drum’s frequency decreases with increasing temperature. Temperature had the greatest effect on the frequency of the xylophone.

Assessment of Diabetic Autonomic Nervous Dysfunction with a Novel Percussion Entropy Approach

open access: yesComplexity, 2019
This study investigated the validity of a novel parameter, percussion entropy index (PEI), for assessing baroreflex sensitivity. PEI was acquired through comparing the similarity in tendency of change between the amplitudes of successive digital volume ...

Fabrication of Ultra-Fine and Ultra-Long Copper Tube Electrodes by Ultrasonic High-Frequency Percussion

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
In this study, a new method of ultrasonic high-frequency percussion (UH-FP) is proposed. Ultra-fine and ultra-long copper tube electrodes cannot be fabricated by traditional processing methods, and the copper tube electrodes fabricated by UH-FP can be ...
