Some results on the integrability of Einstein's field equations for axistationary perfect fluids
Using an orthonormal Lorentz frame approach to axistationary perfect fluid spacetimes, we have formulated the necessary and sufficient equations as a first order system, and investigated the integrability conditions of this set of equations.

Anselm's Temporal‐Ontological Proof
ABSTRACT In his Reply to Gaunilo, Anselm presented two additional arguments for the existence of God beyond those that appear in the Proslogion. In “The Logical Structure of Anselm's Argument,” Robert M. Adams isolates each. One, he develops into a modal ontological argument along the lines of other 20th century ontological arguments (e.g., those of ...

ABSTRACT I develop an axiomatic system of mereology that accounts for the ways in which musical works can be said to have parts. I distinguish two fundamental modes of composition that musical works exhibit: successive composition, whereby sound events are concatenated in time, and simultaneous composition, whereby sound events occur at the same time ...

Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

We study spherically symmetric static spacetimes generally filled with an anisotropic fluid in the nonrelativistic general covariant theory of gravity. In particular, we find that the vacuum solutions are not unique, and can be expressed in terms of the $

Thermodynamics of binary black holes and neutron stars [PDF]
We consider compact binary systems, modeled in general relativity as vacuum or perfect-fluid spacetimes with a helical Killing vector k^\alpha, heuristically, the generator of time-translations in a corotating frame.

A Re‐Examination of Foundational Elements of Cosmology
ABSTRACT This paper undertakes a conceptual re‐examination of several foundational elements of cosmology through the lens of spacetime symmetries. A new derivation of the Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker metric is obtained by a careful conceptual examination of rotations and translations on generic manifolds, followed by solving the rotational and ...

$C^3$ matching for asymptotically flat spacetimes
We propose a criterion for finding the minimum distance at which an interior solution of Einstein's equations can be matched with an exterior asymptotically flat solution.

Abstract This duoethnographic study explores how two nonnative returnee English teachers in China negotiate their professional identities through chronotopically layered transnational literacy experiences. Drawing on the concept of the chronotope—the interconnectedness of time, space, and personhood—the analysis identifies three chronotopic ...

Black holes and stars in Horava-Lifshitz theory with projectability condition
We systematically study spherically symmetric static spacetimes filled with a fluid in the Horava-Lifshitz theory of gravity with the projectability condition, but without the detailed balance. We establish that when the spacetime is spatially Ricci flat
