Steiner Triple Systems With High Discrepancy
ABSTRACT In this paper, we initiate the study of discrepancy questions for combinatorial designs. Specifically, we show that, for every fixed r ≥ 3 $r\ge 3$ and n ≡ 1 , 3 ( mod 6 ) $n\equiv 1,3\,(\mathrm{mod}\,6)$, any r $r$‐colouring of the triples on [ n ] $[n]$ admits a Steiner triple system of order n $n$ with discrepancy Ω ( n 2 ) ${\rm{\Omega }}({

Last‐minute coordination: Adapting to demand to support last‐mile operations
Abstract In the highly competitive e‐commerce industry, customer‐facing warehouses are crucial as the “order penetration points” for e‐commerce last‐mile operations. This research examines how warehouses use last‐minute coordination, an unstructured mechanism, to ensure sufficient inventory at the order penetration points. Previous research has focused

The goal of this work is to look at how a nonlinear model describes hematopoiesis and its complexities utilizing commonly used techniques with historical and material links. Based on time delay, the Mackey–Glass model is explored in two instances. To offer a range, the relevance of the parameter impacting stability (bifurcation) is recorded.

ABSTRACT The paper proposes a variational analysis of the 1‐hypergeometric stochastic volatility model for pricing European options. The methodology involves the derivation of estimates of the weak solution in a weighted Sobolev space. The weight is closely related to the stochastic volatility dynamic of the model.

Characteristic Curves for Multiple‐Inspector Sampling Plans with Inspection Errors
ABSTRACT Classical single sampling plans (SSPs) are designed assuming that product units sampled from a lot are inspected by one inspector, in the absence or presence of inspection errors. The scenario becomes more complicated when SSPs are applied assuming that multiple inspectors operate in parallel on the same sample, as occasionally required in ...

Multiphysics Metamaterials for Unified Control of Diverse Physical Fields
Multiphysics metamaterials unify diffusion, wave, and hybrid field control in one architecture. This review systematically examines the design methodologies, functional implementations, and material compositions of these three categories, followed by a critical analysis of their respective advantages, limitations, and future development trends ...

Embedding large subgraphs into dense graphs
What conditions ensure that a graph G contains some given spanning subgraph H? The most famous examples of results of this kind are probably Dirac's theorem on Hamilton cycles and Tutte's theorem on perfect matchings. Perfect matchings are generalized by

ABSTRACT The evaluation and assessment of network security is a decision‐making (DM) problem that occurs in an environment with multiple criteria, which have uncertainty, bipolarity, and extra‐related information. The traditional approaches fail to address the need to acquire a wide range of information for the assessment, especially in situations ...

Ramsey Numbers and Graph Parameters
According to Ramsey’s Theorem, for any natural p and q there is a minimum number R(p, q) such that every graph with at least R(p, q) vertices has either a clique of size p or an independent set of size q. In the present paper, we study Ramsey numbers R(p,

The Price Gap in Agriculture‐Based Greenhouse Gas Offset Markets
ABSTRACT Today, there is a global effort to reduce greenhouse gas net emissions (GHGNE). For economic well‐being, it is important to identify low‐cost means of net emission offsets. Agriculture and forestry have received considerable attention as a means of supplying emissions offsets, as they contribute nearly 20% of global emissions.
