Intramyocardial Hematoma After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention for Chronic Total Occlusion: Two Case Reports

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusion (CTO) is an extremely challenging procedure, with intramyocardial hematoma (IMH) being one of its rare yet severe complications. In this report, we detail two cases of IMH occurring during PCI for CTO, emphasizing the importance of avoiding catheter pressure entrapment and ...

Safety and Efficacy of a Plug‐Based Vascular Closure Device After Percutaneous Microaxial Flow Pump in the Treatment of Complex and High‐Risk Indicated Patients

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Femoral large‐bore vascular access is an important and constantly increasing technique in interventional treatment. Temporary circulatory support in complex and high‐risk indicated patients (CHIP) presents a challenge in terms of postinterventional access site closure.

Improving the Nutritional Quality of Instant Noodles Made From Wheat Flour Using Dry and Wet Fractionated Mungbean Protein Ingredients

open access: yesCereal Chemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives The nutritional quality of instant noodles can be improved using dry and wet fractionated mungbean protein ingredients. Wheat flour was blended with mungbean protein concentrate and protein isolate to produce high‐protein instant noodles of around 15%, 20%, and 25% protein.

Development and Initial Use of a New Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinical Database Integrating Both Eastern and Western Clinical Characteristics

open access: yesChronic Diseases and Translational Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The increasing incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) presents significant medical and societal challenges. A well‐designed IBD database is crucial for both epidemiological studies and clinical management. However, inconsistencies between regional databases hinder cross‐institutional and international research, especially ...

Self‐Assembled Janus Layers on Zinc Interface to Repel Water Molecules and Polyiodides toward Long‐Life Aqueous Zinc Iodine Batteries

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
4‐tert‐Butylcalix[6]arene (TBCX)‐based Janus molecular layers are self‐assembled onto the Zn interface via a self‐assembly strategy. These TBCX interfacial layers effectively repel water molecules due to the presence of hydrophobic C(CH3)3 groups, and confine polyiodides through ion–dipolar interactions involving the OH groups.
