Reperfusion‐Dependent Outcomes After Endovascular Thrombectomy Stratified by NIHSS‐ASPECTS Clinical‐Core Mismatch

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This analysis evaluates the effect of successful reperfusion on functional outcomes after MT, stratified by admission National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS) as surrogates for clinical‐core mismatch, using multicenter registry data.

Efficacy of single‐balloon overtube for endoscopic submucosal dissection in the proximal colon: A propensity score‐matched analysis

open access: yesDEN Open, 2022
Objectives A single‐balloon overtube (SBO) can improve poor scope operability during colonic endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). We aimed to evaluate the clinical usefulness of SBO for ESD in the proximal colon and the predictive factors for cases in

Two-phase flow and oxygen transport in the perforated gas diffusion layer of proton exchange membrane fuel cell [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Liquid water transport in perforated gas diffusion layers (GDLs)is numerically investigated using a three-dimensional (3D)two-phase volume of fluid (VOF)model and a stochastic reconstruction model of GDL microstructures.

Parameter determination of the method of directional unloading of the reservoir based on physical modelling on a true triaxial loading setup

open access: yesЗаписки Горного института, 2022
The article presents a theoretical and experimental substantiation of the method of directional unloading of the reservoir in fields with low-permeability reservoirs. The relevance of the article is due to the reduction of hydrocarbon resources in modern

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Ileal Diverticulitis as a Cause of Right Lower Quadrant Pain: A Case Report and Review of the Literature [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Colorectal Research, 2015
Introduction Small bowel diverticulitis is a rare clinical disease of the small bowel. The incidence of small bowel diverticulitis varies from 0.3 to 2.3 % in the general population.

A study of repeated impact loading on a symmetrical carbon fibre laminate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The behaviour of a symmetric laminate under repeated low energy hits of a 12.1mm hemispheric impactor was evaluated. The laminate was able to endure 20 collisions with the striker before perforation. The rate of damage progression was characterised by an

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

Complicated duodenal perforation in children: Role of T-tube

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Paediatric Surgery, 2022
Background: Diagnosis of duodenal perforation (DP) in children is often delayed. This worsens the clinical condition and complicates simple closure. Objectives: To explore the advantages of using T-tube in surgeries for DP in children.
