Performance Characteristics for an Immunoassay

Scandinavian Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation, 1991
In the United States of American the medical device amendments of 1976 established a comprehensive system for regulation of medicaldevices intended for human use. One provision of the amendmentsestablishes three categories (classes) of devices depending on the regulatory controls needed to provide reasonable assurance of safety and effectiveness.

Performance Characteristics of Reference Thromboplastins

American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1973
Data are presented to show that the use of the five “reference thromboplastins” distributed by the Medical Research Council, Division of Biologic Standards, as standards cannot be supported when the performance of these reference thromboplastins is evaluated critically.

On the performance characteristics of a TASI system

Performance Evaluation, 1993
Summary: The performance of a TASI system is usually characterized by the fraction of freeze-out talkspurts of speakers. We analyze the process of information transmission in a TASI system in greater detail and introduce new performance characteristics of such systems.

Performance characteristics of Brownian motors

Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2005
Brownian motors are nonequilibrium systems that rectify thermal fluctuations to achieve directed motion, using spatial or temporal asymmetry. We provide a tutorial introduction to this basic concept using the well-known example of a flashing ratchet, discussing the micro- to nanoscopic scale on which such motors can operate. Because of the crucial role

IS Project Characteristics and Performance

Journal of Global Information Management, 2000
Empirical research on project-level success of systems development in developing regions is lacking. Managers cannot rely on prescriptions suggested by IS projects research in developed countries to understand IS projects in developing countries without empirical evidence supporting the applicability of these guidelines.

Performance characteristics of virtual switching

2014 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Cloud Networking (CloudNet), 2014
Virtual switches, like Open vSwitch, have emerged as an important part of cloud networking architectures. They connect interfaces of virtual machines and establish the connection to the outer network via physical network interface cards. Today, all important cloud frameworks support Open vSwitch as the default virtual switch.

Performance characteristics of biased estimators

ICASSP '84. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
The performance characteristics of biased coherence estimators are developed and displayed as a function of the signal and processor parameters. Examples of biased coherence estimators include the magnitude-squared coherence (MSC) estimator and the normalized correlation envelope (NCE) estimator.

Performance characteristics of pressure infusors

Technology and Health Care, 1994
Pressure infusion devices (PID) are used in trauma hospitals and in military applications to enhance rapid fluid replacement of hypovolemic shocked patients. This work presents a simple inexpensive technique for evaluation of the performance characteristics of pressure infusors.

Performance characteristics of a pressure microsensor

Journal of Biomechanics, 2003
A new fiber optic microsensor has been developed for pressure measurement. The pressure microsensor is extremely small (360 micro m). Performance characteristics of the microsensor were evaluated over a pressure range from 0 to 250mmHg. Five sensors were compared to a National Institute of Standards and Technology traceable reference pressure.
