Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Enhancing transposition performance

Proceedings of the 1999 Congress on Evolutionary Computation-CEC99 (Cat. No. 99TH8406), 2003
Transposition is a new genetic operator alternative to crossover and allows a classical GA to achieve better results. This mechanism characterized by the presence of mobile genetic units must be used with the right parameters to enable maximum performance to the GA.
