Fourth International Conference on Hybrid Intelligent Systems (HIS'04), 2005
Hybrid models combining the analytical (rule-based) and connectionist (artificial neural network (ANN)) paradigms are called knowledge based neural networks (KBNN). The knowledge based artificial neural network (KBANN) is one such model that makes use of the domain theory represented as propositional rules and training examples.

Selection and study performance
Medical Education, 2015Firstly, the indicators used to assess performance include professional behaviour scores, written test scores and course credits earned in Year 1. We question the appropriateness of these outcome measures and their timeframe in asserting the superiority of admission solely based on pre-university GPA.

Cellular digital packet data (CDPD) is a wireless extension to data networks, which utilizes the idle capacity (radio channels) of cellular systems. This paper studies the performance of the CDPD system to investigate how the CDPD traffic and the voice traffic affect the CDPD blocking probability.

Study of the performance of RPS
ACM SIGMETRICS Performance Evaluation Review, 1976The objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of RPS (Rotational Position Sensing) on the response time and utilization of multiple spindle disk drives with a shared channel. Simulation models are used to compare the effectiveness of the RPS scheme with the systems without RPS capability.

Satellite clusters: a performance study
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1991A performance study of two onboard stored, baseband switched, TDMA satellites interconnected through intersatellite links is presented. The uplinks are operated under the slotted ALOHA policy, while the downlinks and intersatellite links are operated using TDM policy.

Myrinet networks: a performance study
Third IEEE International Symposium on Network Computing and Applications, 2004. (NCA 2004). Proceedings., 2004As network computing become commonplace, the interconnection networks and the communication system software become critical in achieving high performance. Thus, it is essential to systematically assess the features and performance of the new networks. Recently, Myricom has introduced a two-port "E-card" Myrinet/PCl-X interface.
