MR Perfusion Imaging for Gliomas

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North America
Accurate diagnosis and treatment evaluation of patients with gliomas is imperative to make clinical decisions. Multiparametric MR perfusion imaging reveals physiologic features of gliomas that can help classify them according to their histologic and molecular features as well as distinguish them from other neoplastic and nonneoplastic entities.

Perfusion and diffusion MR imaging

Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, 1992
AbstractDiffusion‐weighted images of the rat brain were obtained using the pulsed‐gradient spinecho method. An attempt was made to extract perfusion‐related parameters from signal intensity data taken from the caudate‐putamen region of the images, by using a nonlinear least‐squares calculation to fit the Le Bihan biexponential expression (Le Bihan et ...

Perfusion Imaging of the Musculoskeletal System

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North America
Perfusion imaging is the aspect of functional imaging, which is most applicable to the musculoskeletal system. In this review, the anatomy and physiology of bone perfusion is briefly outlined as are the methods of acquiring perfusion data on MR imaging.

Laser Doppler Perfusion Imaging

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe, 1996
Laser Doppler Perfusion Imaging (LDPI) creates two-dimensional flow-maps of the tissue perfusion. A laser beam scans the tissue surface step-wise by means of a computer controlled stepper motor system that forms an integral part of a camera-like device positioned above the tissue surface.

Radiopharmaceuticals for imaging myocardial perfusion

Seminars in Nuclear Medicine, 1990
A replacement for 201Tl used in myocardial perfusion imaging with a 99mTc-labeled complex is a long-sought goal. Now, at least three varieties of 99mTc-complexes are being made available for clinical studies. This review summarizes the development of these agents and presents basic research data accumulated in this area.

Acute Stroke: Perfusion Imaging

2006
Ultrasound perfusion imaging of the human brain is a bedside technique based on the detection of ultrasound contrast agent (UCA) in the cerebral microcirculation. In the last decade, ultrasound technology improved from single-pulse harmonic imaging to multiple-pulse technologies (pulse inversion or power modulation harmonic imaging as well as contrast ...
