UV Sensitivity of Indium-Zinc Oxide Nanofibers

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2018
Indium-zinc oxide (IZO) nanofiber matrices are synthesized on SiO2-covered silicon substrates by the electrospinning method. The nanofibers’ dimensions, morphology, and crystalline structure are characterized by scanning electron microscopy, atomic force

Electrical Switching in Thin Film Structures Based on Transition Metal Oxides

open access: yesAdvances in Condensed Matter Physics, 2015
Electrical switching, manifesting itself in the nonlinear current-voltage characteristics with S- and N-type NDR (negative differential resistance), is inherent in a variety of materials, in particular, transition metal oxides.

Long‐Term Increases in Ca2+, Mg2+, and SO42− Concentrations in the Kolyma River (1980–2022) Due To Yedoma Degradation

open access: yesGlobal Biogeochemical Cycles, Volume 40, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Permafrost degradation under a warming climate has altered hydrological and biogeochemical processes across the Arctic. Although increasing fluxes of weathering‐derived ions (e.g., Ca2+, Mg2+, and SO42−) have been reported in Arctic rivers, the underlying mechanisms and hotspots within basins remain poorly understood due to limited analysis of

Incidental finding of maternal sex chromosome aneuploidy from DMD carrier screening and single‐nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)‐based prenatal cell‐free DNA screening

open access: yesJournal of Genetic Counseling, Volume 34, Issue 3, June 2025.
Abstract Prenatal cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) screening and carrier screening (CS) may have incidental findings that have implications for maternal health outside the scope of the test. We investigated outcome information for individuals with both a DMD full gene deletion/duplication on CS and a suspected maternal X chromosome abnormality on SNP‐based ...

Bishop Torhthelm’s letter to Boniface

open access: yesEarly Medieval Europe, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 244-273, May 2025.
In c.738, St Boniface distributed a circular letter to a broad audience of ecclesiastics in England. One response to that letter survives, written by Torhthelm, bishop of the Middle Angles (737–64). The letter is written in an allusive style and borrows heavily from its main source, Pope Vitalian’s letter to Oswiu, king of Northumbria.

Primary care clinicians’ perspectives about quality measurements in safety-net clinics and non-safety-net clinics

open access: yesInternational Journal for Equity in Health, 2018
Background Quality metrics, pay for performance (P4P), and value-based payments are prominent aspects of the current and future American healthcare system. However, linking clinic payment to clinic quality measures may financially disadvantage safety-net

The Heisenberg‐RIXS instrument at the European XFEL

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 32, Issue 1, Page 29-45, January 2025.
The aim of this work is to present Heisenberg RIXS at the European XFEL, the first high‐resolution soft X‐ray instrument enabling time‐resolved resonant inelastic X‐ray scattering close to the transform limit from solid and liquid‐jet samples. The optical design, mechanical layout and performance are described in detail and discussed in a broader ...
